Radio listeners just couldn’t get the full experience as Grace, all decked out in the bare minimum, belted out her sultry funky songs with the power and soul of Janis and the passion of Susan Tedeschi.

came up next, packing all the energy he could into his cello-laden tunes, bringing the sparse and simple beauty of his songs with him. He and his songwriting partner, , told tales praising Jean Ritchie and environmentally sound bicycle travel and was the definite comedic highlight of the evening. To paraphrase the host, Nick Forester, he is truly “changing perceptions about the cello.”
