While it’s true that three out of four members of are in , the band effectively carved out its own identity at the on Saturday night, due in large part to the stage presence and unique voice of frontman Myles Kennedy. The band garnered huge applause by playing songs from all three of their albums, including chunky renditions of “Find the Real,” “Buried Alive” and “Slip to the Void.” Mark Tremonti’s signature guitar sound from both bands was intact and you had to believe a lot of the attendees were Creed fans, but Myles Kennedy’s soulful vocals likely left none wishing Creed vocalist Scott Stapp was at the helm. Given the band’s former feverish popularity, this was a worthy accomplishment.
