The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers was declared Thursday as the winner in an election to determine union representation for more than 14,000 fleet and ramp workers at United Continental Holdings.
The election conducted by the National Mediation Board was between IAM, which represented 6,800 United Airlines workers, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which represented 7,300 flight ramp/fleet workers at Continental Airlines.
