Getting your player ready...

Mother’s Day is coming. If yours is up with the sun tending plants, walking dogs, pitching hay or generally getting an early start, give her this jacket. In fact, if a woman in your life runs around with a lot of things in her pockets, we’re sure this tough, stylish, affordable ($49.99 on sale) zip-up from Duluth Trading Co. can’t be beat, especially not in red. There’s a vest version, too, in case the giftee needs those 11 (yes, eleven) pockets more than warmth.

Is it cocktail season yet?

Oh, that’s right — that’s every season ! And you’re either going to want to drink them out on a bright patio or in a nice, quiet, calm, clubby room. If the answer is the latter, check out the decanter set from Johnathan Charles that’s part of a whole line of furniture-quality wine and spirits cabinets. First the landscape; then art

Mile High Landscaping’s Will Hyde and his wife, Gita, have opened a retail space that’s a natural extension of what Will’s been doing with outdoor spaces for years. Creative Living Interior/Exterior Decor, at 1101 Santa Fe Drive, continues its grand opening today, and it looks as though the weather will facilitate the big glass doors being rolled up to let visitors stroll the indoor-outdoor site. The store offers unique garden furniture, water features, fire pits, plant containers, home accessories, fine art and sculpture. Featured items include works by sculptor James Vilona, and Hyde’s own metalwork, above.
