was scheduled to play Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom with Talib Kweli under the duo’s Black Star moniker earlier this year, but the show was, almost expectedly, canceled. He’s due to be back at the legendary Five Points venue on Friday night under yet another name, Yasiin Bey, with support from Binary Star. Given that the headliner is billed as “Yasiin Bey a.k.a. Mos Def,” itap a safe bet that he’ll perform songs from his diverse, critically acclaimed catalog.
