Neither nor has toured in recent years, but that will change later this summer when FunnyorDie.com’s hits the road for 13 dates over a five-weekend stretch — including a Sept. 13 stop at .
But that’s not all: other alt- and indie-comedy favorites, such as Demetri Martin, Longmont native (and former “Flight of the Conchords” co-star) , “Saturday Night Live” writer John Mulaney, Al Madrigal, Brody Stevens, Chris D’Elia, , and others will provide support at various dates across the festival’s two stages.
UPDATE: According to a press release from Live Nation, Kristen Schaal, Al Madrigal, Brody Stevens, Chris D’Elia and Hannibal Buress will be performing at the tour’s Colorado stop, in addition to co-headliners Dave Chappelle and Flight of the Conchords.
A package stand-up tour of this size is rare, if not unprecedented, so we’ll be interested to see how it goes. Of course, FunnyOrDie is juicing the lineup with vendors, “street performers,” psychics, freaks and more — proving that people still think stand-up seemingly needs to be marketed as a carnival sideshow for 20-something weirdos and hipsters, as opposed to an art form for the general public.
Whatever — we’re still psyched for the lineup. Tickets, $24-$89.50, are on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21 at livenation.com. Check out the full list of dates confirmed:
