“I’m the number one rock star on the planet,” West declares in an interview that’s full of great quotes. “I’m gonna take music and try to make it three-dimensions, like Star Wars and the hologram … it jumps up and affects you. I’m not here to make easy, programmable music.”
West says his greatness is in “his coding,” citing stories of his grandfather’s success.
He also gives a touching amount of credit to for having his back “and making it safe for me to be in New York solo, and still be able to move around.” Yeezy also discusses ’s verse on “Control,” (the two are joining forces for The Yeezus Tour), saying Kendrick is “ one of our future messengers, and I’m going to give him the jewels.”
