The post-holiday, late-winter months are typically a barren landscape for big concerts, but this week revealed some landmarks for January and February, starting with one of Colorado’s favorite acoustic acts Railroad Earth and its two-night run at the Fillmore Auditorium Jan. 17-18. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 1. ($27.50-$30 per show; $50 two-day passes, )

Southern soul-funk band JJ Grey and Mofro will also take over the Fillmore when it stops there Feb. 21 with opener Keller Williams and his band More Than a Little, plus Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers — two groups that could easily headline their own Denver shows at smaller venues. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 2. ($27.50-$30, )

The 29th annual Midwinter Bluegrass Festival is looking to heat things up Feb. 21-23 when it returns with workshops and performances from 18 acts spanning the breadth of this traditional American genre, from folk and roots to gospel and jam. Tickets for the event at the Northglenn Ramada Plaza are on sale. ($35-$75, )

The Disco Biscuits always know how to bring the party to Colorado, and the band’s Jan. 25 1stBank Center concert, with opener Infected Mushroom, is the culmination of two smaller shows Jan. 23-24 at the Ogden Theatre. Tickets for all shows are on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 2. ($35-$40, TicketHorse or )

Canadian folk-pop act Walk Off the Earth gained mainstream notice with its cheeky cover of Gotye’s “Somebody I Used to Know,” but the band’s new Columbia album “R.E.V.O.” aims to assert the quartet as a songwriters in their own right. Tickets for the group’s Feb. 20 Ogden show (with, appropriately, Parachute) are on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 1. ($22, )

Pink pushed back her already-postponed Pepsi Center concert to Jan. 19, and all previously held tickets will be honored. Refunds are available at the point of purchase (TicketHorse).

The folkies over at Swallow Hill are presenting a new family- friendly concert series in conjunction with the Children’s Museum of Denver and the Butterfly Pavilion. The Station Wagon Sessions will kick off Feb. 2 and run monthly with music from Justin Roberts, Bonnie & the Clydes, Chris McGarry and Doctor Robert. Tickets are on sale. ($5-$16, )
