On ‘s latest album, “Totem,” the band explores the duality of dream-pop and darkness. The result is a feeling you can never quite come to terms with — something constantly in flux that you’re chasing.

In the band’s new video for “The Breath and the Glow,” which Reverb is proud to premiere today, director Matthew Brown captures the anxiety of the music using the visual inspiration of David Lynch.

Through a series of sharp cuts and dizzying short scenes, Brown captures a very Lynchian unease. And the plot here is certainly open to viewer interpretation. Is this a drug trip? An existential crisis? A love story? A horror story? It might take multiple views, but you’ll get your own message from it.

Created by Brown and Fred Kolouch, the video stars Derrick Hicks, Adele Thurston, Jane Stillwater and James Smith. The video’s assistant director was Ana Quintanilla.
