, America’s musical sweetheart, is in full tour mode in support of her 2014 album “1989,” and last night at L.A.’s Staples Center (part of a multi-night stint there) her attention-getting guest spots continued.

The first night saw ’90s girl-rock poster child Alanis Morissette take the stage with Swift to deliver an angsty version of the ubiquitous empowerment anthem, “You Oughta Know.” So how do you follow a joint performance with the writer of the platinum-selling “Jagged Little Pill?” You invite a native Angelino to perform a newish jam — one who also happened to have been wronged by your sorta-nemenisis (Kanye West).

Beck took the stage with indie goddess St. Vincent and Taylor Swift for a rendition of Beck’s upbeat single “Dreams.” St. Vincent shredded on her guitar solo, Beck oozed his cool-dad vibes, and T-Swizzle sashayed from side to side in the Staples Center.

That wasn’t it. Grammy winner John Legend hopped on stage to perform his gut-wrenching, tear-jerking single “All of Me.” Taylor swooped in and tag-teamed with one of the best piano guys in music to collaborate on a true slice of Old Hollywood glamour.

Swift ended her brief Los Angeles residency on a high note. What do Tay-Tay fans love as much as the pop icon? NBC’s ever-popular ’90s sitcom “Friends,” of course. Lisa Kudrow reprised her role as Phoebe, the coffee house queen, to perform the cutesy “Smelly Cat.” Too kitschy? T-Swizz brought the house down with Selena Gomez in an electrifying version of “Good For You.” Justin Timberlake was not to be outdone by the venerable Disney Channel starlet, however. JT and Swift joined to create a unique version of the global smash, “Mirrors.”

Denver fans will witness “1989” when the tour hits the Pepsi Center Sept. 5-6. Maybe OneRepublic or the Fray are up to task to join Swift a night one or two?
