Diddy fell during a Bad Boy reunion, Janet Jackson received the Ultimate Icon Award, Nicki Minaj had no idea what one of her awards were, Beyonce and Chris Brown won best female and male pop artists and much more. Someone forgot to inform Kendrick Lamar that Sunday night belonged to Janet Jackson. The Compton rapper claimed the awards ceremony with a lights out performance of “Alright.” Standing atop a police car and next to a giant American flag, the rapper brought a pointed and powerful performance. And this was only the opening number. Way to start us out, Lamar.

Janet Jackson “Ultimate Icon Award”

BET’s annual awards show brought a rejuvenated Janet Jackson out of self-imposed retirement to receive the “Ultimate Icon Award.”

The award made for a nice contrast to the following performance featuring some of the most talented up-and-coming artists in the business. Ciara, Jason Derulo and Tinashe honored the youngest of the Jacksons with an explosive tribute of the iconic album of “Rhythm Nation.”

Diddy slips on stage

This isn’t Diddy’s week. First he gets some assault charges and now he falls in the middle of his Bad Boy reunion. Oh man. This guy. Just watch it above.
