Denver residents can expect a dry, mostly sunny weekend with warm mid-week temperatures forecasted.

On Saturday, the metro area is expected to reach 47 degrees with light southwest winds, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Along the Eastern slopes of the Front Range and Foothills in Larimer and Boulder Counties, high winds are likely with possible gusts of 50 to 65 miles per hour Saturday evening.

The night should turn cloudy with a low of 25 degrees along the Front Range.

On Sunday, temperatures are expected to drop slightly, with a high of 40 degrees in the city. The sun, however, is expected to stick around.

In the mountains, there is a slight chance of Sunday snow, forecasters said.

The first half of the week in the metro area gets increasingly warmer with a high of 46 degrees on Monday, jumping to 56 degrees on Tuesday, leading to a high of 60 degrees on Wednesday.

No snow is in the forecast throughout the next several days, the weather service said.
