A campfire in Guffey — about 60 miles west of Colorado Springs — is “out of control” and spreading, officials said Saturday afternoon.
The fire, dubbed the Arroyo Fire, has spread rapidly along the steep slope and is now at 5 acres in grass and small trees, according to Colorado Wildfire Information.
Several structures appear threatened, officials said.
Fire crews are on scene and calling for mutual aid from Hartsel firefighters.
