After the shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge, we continually hear that it is important for people of all sides to communicate. While this is obviously extremely important, the fact remains that mass shootings in our country have been carried about by those with radical views and mental health issues. These views have ranged from those regarding abortion in Colorado Springs to views held by a white supremacist in Charleston.
Those with extreme views and mental health issues are unfortunately going to continue to exist. As long as people have easy access to assault rifles and there are open carry laws, these horrible incidentsare likely to continue.
