The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide Sunday morning, after finding a male and female body on the side of Old Pueblo Road in Fountain, said Jacqueline Kirby, sheriff’s spokeswoman.
The two are unidentified. Autopsies will be performed Monday morning. “Hopefully, we will be able to identify them through the autopsy,” Kirby said.
Authorities haven’t identified a suspect, Kirby said, and are asking anyone with information to call 719-390-5555.
The bodies were found at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday beside Old Pueblo Road just south of Hanover Road, Kirby said.
