Thornton and Parker went on accident alert as snow fell throughout the day, creating hazardous road conditions.

Thornton went off accident alert at approximately 6 p.m. Parker was still on alert at that time.

When on accident alert, individuals who are involved in car crashes without injuries should not call police as they will not respond. Instead, drivers should exchange information, report the incident to their insurance company and file a police report later.

In Parker, people are asked to call if there are alcohol or drugs related to the crash.

The Parker Police Department said all accidents should be reported either online or at the department

Fort Collins was similarly on accident alert Saturday morning until they called it off at 11 a.m.
