
A weekend wind is blowing through the Front Range on Saturday along with a chance of isolated afternoon rain showers.
The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts a high of 54 degrees for the Denver area with isolated showers possible between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Along the Eastern Plains, wind gusts could crank up to 45 miles per hour with gusts blowing as much as 31 miles per hour in the metro area.
Tonight, skies should be mostly clear with a low of 23 degrees.
In the mountains, snow showers could blanket the high country with up to 3 inches of new snow. Photos provided by the weather service showed snowy roads heading up to the mountains near Eisenhower Tunnel, south of Winter Park, Silverthorne and near Rabbit Ears Pass.

As of 7 a.m., the weather service said road conditions were variable but would become mostly wet as the morning went on.
Back in the Denver metro, Sunday should be sunny with a high of 50 degrees.
