Pack a poncho if you’re headed to Coors Field to welcome the Rockies back home Sunday afternoon.

Rain is likely after 3 p.m. today and the temperatures won’t climb out of the mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

But at least the baseball game isn’t in the mountains, which could get up to 4 inches of snow Sunday.

The rain will continue Sunday night and into Monday in Denver, where the high temperature will be 44 degrees Monday.

That will be a good day to pull out your winter clothes because snow is possible Monday night and Tuesday morning, though it’s not expected to accumulate. Snow already fell Saturday morning on the southern and eastern outskirts of the city as well as the foothills.

Snow and sleet closed a portion of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park for the second day in a row on Sunday. The road connects the park’s eastern and western sides and reaches an elevation of 12,183 feet.
