A man was shot in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood on Friday night and a second shooting happened a short time later in the Valverde area.
The first shooting happened in the 3400 block of West Kentucky Avenue, according to police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. Police did not release information on a suspect or a motive.
The second shooting happened in the 2900 block of West Cedar Avenue, police said. The two scenes are about 1.5 miles apart.
The first shooting was reported by police at 9:25 p.m., the second shooting at 10:08 p.m.
