A blustery winter storm will whip through the mountains Tuesday, bringing up to 13 inches of new snow, before reaching Denver Wednesday morning and dropping up to 4 inches of snow, forecasters say.
Before the bitter-cold storm hits Denver, the skies will be sunny and the high temperature will be 46 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
While the weather is still mild in Denver, a winter weather advisory will go into effect in Colorado’s northern and central mountains. Between 6 and 13 inches of snow is expected in the mountains. Travelers beware of icy and snow-packed roads and drifting snow.
