Just in time for Colorado Craft Beer Week, here’s the latest on Denver’s brewing scene

Here’s a solid excuse to drink: kicks off this weekend and continues through March 23, with festivals, pairings and an entire day midweek dedicated to downing local pints.

Starting on Saturday, brings some 200 brewers to the Hyatt Denver to show off around 100 beers they brewed together (how sweet).  takes place on Wednesday; breweries around the state will be tapping special kegs and donating $1 for each pint they sell to the nonprofit Colorado Brewers Guild. And for the real aficionados out there,  on Saturday, March 23, lets 100 ticket-buying beer drinkers blind-taste 20 American IPAs and vote for the best in the state.

just opened its aviation-themed brewhouse at 38th Avenue and Tennyson Street. Drinkers there can enjoy a guava pale ale inside the custom airplane fuselage built into the new Berkeley taproom. Across town in Lakewood, a pair of brewers whose Denver credentials include Trve, Epic, Crooked Stave and Coors are debuting the new  at 1057 S. Wadsworth Blvd., with a grand opening on Saturday, March 23. That same day, in Edgewater opens a rooftop bar and deck with views over Sloan’s Lake.
