All residential evacuations related to a fire along Colorado Highway 115 near Fort Carson have been lifted, said officials with El Paso County on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, residents were evacuated after reports of the fire south of Colorado Springs. The fire, which is now called the “Pawnee Fire” has burned 2.8 acres. No injuries or home losses were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the county spokesperson tweeted.
For those residents heading back to the evacuation area. EPSO is slowly reopening roads, but first responders are still in the area, so please proceed with caution.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter on Sunday afternoon that its Wildland Fire team was assisting Fort Carson police and fire.
The Colorado Springs Police and Fire Communications Center said on Twitter that it received several reports of the fire south of Colorado Springs and residents could see smoke from several parts of the city.
Emergency officials placed the mobile home park at 8160 Piute Road under pre-evacuation, according to the sheriff’s office tweet. Residents of Rock Creek Mesa are required to evacuate, it said.
