Severe weather is forecast for Colorado’s northeastern plains including a threat of isolated tornadoes, flash flooding, damaging winds and quarter-sized hail, forecasters say.
“Main threats today include large hail, damaging winds and potentially an isolated tornado,” according to a forecast by the National Weather Service in Goodland, KS.
The biggest threat of severe weather in northeast Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas is quarter-sized hail, which is rated at a high probability, the NWS reports.
The chance for winds up to 60 mph, a tornado and flash flooding are all at low, forecasters say.
