A silver car plowed through a busy downtown Denver street, hitting two pedestrians, then sped away as police looked on early Sunday at the scene of a fight near 20th and Market streets.

Several police officers had responded to the fight. A shows the car accelerating near people and hitting two. Police issued a bulletin Sunday night saying the car was “fleeing.”

The two people hit, one falling to the pavement as the car sped away, “were evaluated at the hospital” and didn’t suffer serious injuries, police said.

On Sunday night, police sent a request on social media seeking information on the driver of the car, asking anybody familiar with that incident to call 720-913-7867.
