Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, The Source Market Hall’s longtime beer partner, will close on Dec. 31 as it moves across town.

On Jan. 9, Crooked Stave will debut a full taproom at its Barrel Cellar and brewery in the Sunnyside neighborhood, with hours to be announced,

Crooked Stave started in Fort Collins in late 2010 and opened the Denver Barrel Cellar by 2012, followed by The Source location a year later.

Brewer Chad Yakobson originally focused on sour and wild-fermented beers but has since introduced more styles. Still, one of Crooked Stave’s more popular brands today is a sour rosé.

The Source also has seen large turnover as of late, with a majority of the food hall’s original food and beverage businesses departing and being replaced.

As the brewery moves out, shop selling soft-serve, ice cream sandwiches and fresh-baked cookies will move in down the hall.

Melted, by the owner of Acorn restaurant, starts serving its sweets on Friday.

Chef Jennifer Akina is planning to offer cookies in flavors like strawberry streusel; four types of soft-serve, including seasonal pomegranate and Chartreuse; and build-your-own Thai ice cream sandwiches, with rolled ice cream and toppings served on Reunion milk buns.

Reunion Bread Co is The Source’s other award-winning bakery, where bread loaves and Portuguese and Venezuelan pastries are sold.

Melted inside The Source, 3330 Brighton Blvd., 720-387-8349, 4-8 p.m. on Dec. 20 and noon-8 p.m. daily starting Dec. 21. Check on Instagram for updates.
