The metro area will see continued heavy smoke Sunday from the four different wildfires raging across the state. Smoke is expected to move southeast from the Cameron Peak and Williams Fork fires.

Fire danger remains high this weekend and residents are advised to avoid any activities that could spark a fire.

Temperatures are expected to be higher than normal with a high of 95 degrees today. There’s a 10% chance of scattered storms after 2 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service. The low tonight will drop to around 63 degrees with winds gusting up to 20 mph.

The rest of the week will see continued hot and mostly dry weather, the NWS reports. Monday should see a high of 95 degrees and a low of 65 with winds up to 15 mph and a 10% chance of afternoon showers.

Tuesday will follow the pattern with a high of 97 and a low of 64. Later in the week there are more chances for rain though highs in the 90s are expected to continue.
