A Colorado Springs teenager who planned multiple school shootings was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday, according to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Lily Whitworth, 19, was sentenced to six years in the Colorado Department of Corrections and three years mandatory parole, on Tuesday.

Whitworth was initially charged with two counts of attempted murder, criminal mischief, menacing, interfering with school operations and second-degree assault in connection with threats she made against Colorado Springs Academy District 20 schools,

Whitworth pleaded guilty to second-degree assault as part of a plea agreement on Nov. 6 and faced up to 16 years in prison.

Whitworth was arrested on March 31 after her sister called 911 because Whitworth was “very upset” and had threatened to shoot up a school, according to previous reporting.

Investigators found Whitworth had written a “manifesto” that included a list of guns and how to 3D print them; detailed lists of people to be killed; details on creating improvised explosive devices; and a list of targets including Timberview Middle School, Pine Creek High School and Prairie Hills Elementary School in Colorado Springs, according to an arrest affidavit.
