A two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a fuel spill closed lanes of Interstate 225 northbound Wednesday afternoon.

The crash between a semi-truck and a car was reported just after 3 p.m. near Interstate 225 and E. Iliff Avenue in Denver, according to Aurora police.

The semi-truck was leaking fuel after the crash and a hazardous materials team responded, CDOT representative Vikas Ahuja said. No one was hurt, according to Aurora police.

The interstate was fully closed immediately following the crash, then partially closed, and reopened at 6:20 p.m.

Drivers headed north on Interstate 225 were being detoured on E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora police said.
