Denver has six of the best Chinese food restaurants in the country, according to Yelp, which released a list of its reviewers’ 100 favorites on Wednesday.

The “” which excludes national chains, used “a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews.”

The top 30 restaurants are outside Colorado, with Maxi’s Noodle in Flushing, Queens, in New York City, taking the number one spot. The highest-ranked metro Denver restaurant is Hong Kong Station — at No. 32 — a Centennial hub that topped Yelp’s list of best Denver restaurants in 2021 and was declared a “hidden gem” by The Denver Post in 2022.

Located at 6878 S. Yosemite St., Hong Kong Station’s wide-ranging menu includes Cantonese and Szechuan recipes and some Americanized treats, too.

Close behind at number 34 was Noodles Express, a bustling outfit whose kitchen pushes out Szechuan specialties from an unassuming building at 703 S. Colorado Blvd. Notably, the restaurant is still open after twice announcing it had to leave as Kroger moved forward on plans to redevelop the land underneath it.

Further down on the Yelp list are four other Denver metro highlights:

72. Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings (locations in Denver, Aurora and Boulder)

75. Fortune Wok to Table (2817 E. 3rd Ave. in Denver)

Yelp, which hosted a whopping 287 million reviews at the beginning of the year, has an influence on plugged-in foodies unignorable for many restaurant owners. The federal government this year cracked down on companies on the app; whether users can tell difference between an authentic or AI-generated review enough to flag them is .
