Flights delayed at Denver International Airport due to low clouds

Ground delay will last until noon, according to the FAA

Delays for flights at Denver International Airport are projected to last through the morning, with the Federal Aviation Administration because of low clouds.

The FAA’s Ground Delay Program is meant to control the volume of flights entering an airport and may be implemented when inclement weather creates challenging flight conditions. A ground stop halts outbound air traffic.

Departing flights were temporarily grounded due to weather earlier this morning. Some arriving flights are currently being delayed by an average of an hour and 15 minutes, according to the FAA
