Denver pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash near Empower Field

The crash happened at the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Federal Boulevard, police said

A Denver pedestrian was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash near Empower Field, according to the police department.

Police about the crash, which happened at the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Federal Boulevard, at 7:59 p.m. Saturday.

At that point, the pedestrian had been taken to the hospital with serious injuries. , police said the pedestrian died overnight.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian killed as 38-year-old Nahum Martinez. Coroner officials said his cause of death is still under investigation.

No suspects have been identified in the crash and police said the investigation is ongoing.

Other information about the crash, including the type of car involved, was not available Sunday morning.
