The winner: Roger H. Dioda, Fruita
This dinosaur is in the parking lot for the Fruita Fitness Center, just east of the Fruita Circle. It used to be on the wall facing the circle in the background of the picture. It designates that Fruita is part of the dinosaur triangle.
Dig it!: Mary Graves, Grand Junction
Some of the first near-complete dinosaur skeletons that ended up in Eastern museums in the early 20th century were excavated in and around Fruita. This area has yielded (and still does) many important dinosaur fossils.
