Though the Telluride Film Festival closed after Labor Day, the monthly Telluride Cinematheque maintains the festival’s spirit.
Last spring, a trial version of Cinematheque featured French New Wave films in a monthly double feature presented by a film expert.
The fall Cinematheque lineup features vintage, obscure and independent film noir movies. Upcoming screenings include “Laura” and “The Hitchhiker” (Oct. 19), “In the Loop,” a British farce with James Gandolfini (Oct. 22), and Stanley Kubrick’s “The Killing” with “Gun Crazy” (Nov. 16).
The double-feature films will be shown at the Wilkerson public library and include a meal between screenings. The single features are at the Nugget and the Palm theaters in Telluride.
