Annual holiday extravaganza

The Junior League of Denver’s 34th annual Mile High Holiday Mart has a new location this year but everything else — including the high-quality gifts from selected merchants — remains the same. Shoppers will find jewelry, clothing, purses, accessories, household items, holiday gifts and more. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 22, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 23 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 24. Proceeds benefit JLD’s ongoing community focus of financial and educational support. Admission is $12, $10 in advance, free for children 12 and under. An additional special event, the “Mile High Holiday Mart Private Shopping Champagne Breakfast,” is Nov. 22 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 22. Gifts that give twice

You have to visit two locations to shop the annual World Gift Markets offering a variety of hand-crafted items from local and international artisans. An opening reception is 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 22 at First Universalist Church, 4101 E. Textiles and accessories from around the world are included in the fourth annual ClothRoads Holiday Open Studio Nov. 22-24. Shoppers will find unique holiday gifts such as silk scarves and vests from India; hats, gloves and socks from Peru and Estonia; handmade dolls from Laos; Japanese accessories, embroidery from Chiapas and the Amazon; and other items from every continent.
