March madness
In connection to the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament, Golden’s Foothills Animal Shelter has named its latest adoption special “March Madness is a Slam Dunk.” Continuing through April 6, the fee for cats six months and older is $10. The fee includes a health check, microchip, spay or neuter and vaccinations. Shelter hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. SI tip: A special one-day only St. Patrick’s Day dog adoption special is March 17, the adoption fee for all dogs six months and older is $17. Did you know March 16-22 is Fix a Leak Week? As part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s continuing “WaterSense We’re for Water” campaign, select Ace Hardware locations are giving away Dye Tabs that can be used to detect toilet leaks. Waterpik is also getting in on the action with Ace Hardware by giving away a limited number of Waterpik EcoFlow shower heads on March 21 at four Ace locations (3640 Austin Bluffs Parkway in Colorado Springs, 1030 E.
