
A tornado warning has expired Friday for parts of the plains east of Denver, but a thunderstorm watch continues until 11 p.m.
The National Weather Service issued the warning for parts of Washington and southern Morgan County until 7:30 p.m.
An earlier warning, further west, for northeastern Arapahoe County, southeastern Adams County, and southwestern Washington County expired at 6:30 p.m.
At 6:49 p.m., the severe storm was located south of Brush, 10 miles east of Fort Morgan.
A severe thunderstorm, capable of producing a tornado, was spotted 34 miles north of Limon, on the Eastern Plains, moving east at 25 mph, the weather service reports.
The storm is damaging homes and roofs, and has the potential to destroy dwellings. People should seek safe shelter and beware of flying debris. Vehicles, windows and trees are likely to be damaged.
