Denver skies will be sunny and partly cloudy Thursday and through the weekend, according to forecasts.

“It’s a nice little respite from last week’s cold,” said Todd Dankers, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder. “There’s going to be plenty of sunshine.”

The high temperature Thursday is expected to be 49 or 50 degrees. On Friday, temperatures could rise to 54, Dankers said.

A cold front on Saturday will drop temperatures 10 degrees to a high of 44 in the Denver metro area.

The cold front may bring snow to the mountains on Saturday.

Colorado will warm up again to around 52 on Sunday, Dankers said.
