An arrest warrant has been issued for a 32-year-old man in connection with the Tuesday night death of a man in the Sunnyside neighborhood.

Elizario Herrera Jr., 32, is being sought on a charge of first-degree murder. The name of the victim has not been released.

The death happened around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 4000 block of North Shoshone Street, said聽Doug Schepman, Denver police spokesman.

“The cause of death is still under investigation,” Schepman said.

Detectives are investigating the motive and circumstances that led to the murder.
