The driver of a minivan critically injured a motorcyclist during a hit and run around 12:40 p.m. Saturday on the border of Denver and Lakewood.

The minivan driver was heading south on South Sheridan Boulevard and tried to turn onto eastbound Kentucky Avenue, hitting the motorcyclist, Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said The man in the minivan drove away.

Police are looking for the driver, describing him a white man. No other attributes have been released.

Southbound Sheridan Boulevard was temporarily closed as police investigated the scene.
