While Saturday is expected to be another scorcher, Sunday in the Denver will take a cue from Snoop Dogg and drop it like it’s hot — temperature-wise, that is.

Saturday is forecast to have a high of 96 degrees with blazing sun, while Sunday is looking more than 10 degrees cooler with a high of 84 degrees accompanied by some clouds and a chance of thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Sunday’s clouds will start rolling in about noon, providing a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms that increases to 50 percent as the day turns to night. The weather service said some areas along the Front Range could receive heavy rain.

The early part of next week should see temperatures hovering in the 80s and creeping back up to the 90s by Wednesday.
