A man was shot dead in Lakewood over the weekend and police have a suspect in the case.
At about 3 a.m. Saturday police were called to the Waterfront Apartments, 10555 W. Jewell Ave., on a report of shots fired, according to a news release.
Officers found a 27-year-old man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died. The victim was not publicly identified.
A 27-year-old man has been identified as a suspect in the shooting, police said. He has not been arrested or charged and the case remains under investigation. The suspect also was not identified.
