Westbound Interstate 70 reopened early Wednesday afternoon through Glenwood Canyon after a prolonged closure caused by a rollover crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
CSP reported the closure at 6 a.m. Wednesday and said to expect an extended closure.
The Colorado Department of Transportation tweeted about a crash in the area just after 3:30 a.m.
The closure was active from Exit 133: Dotsero to Exit 129: Bair Ranch. CDOT tweeted that the highway had reopened at 1:22 p.m.
CSP shared a picture of an 18-wheeler rolled over on its side, stretching over the median and covering portions of both directions of I-70.
I-70 is closed westbound at milepost 133 for a CMV rolled over in Glenwood Canyon. This will be an extended closure of 4-6 hours.
