The pedestrian, who died at the scene, was walking in a roadway when struck by a “commercial vehicle,” according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
East 96th Avenue was closed between Alton Street and Heinz Way for about three hours after the crash.Thursday night’s incident is the fifth fatal traffic crash in Commerce City this year, police said, eight people have died in the crashes.
