Northbound I-25 reopens near Fort Collins after fatal crash

Northbound Interstate 25 reopened near Fort Collins on Monday hours after a crash killed a pedestrian, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Colorado State Patrol troopers responded to reports of a crash on northbound I-25 at Prospect Road around 4:15 a.m. Monday, according to Sgt. Patrick Rice.

Rice said a Chevrolet Silverado driver struck and killed a pedestrian on the interstate and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The driver had minor injuries.

The interstate was shut down between Colorado 68 and Exit 268 for Prospect Road near Fort Collins around 4:30 a.m. Monday, .

The highway reopened as of 1:45 p.m.
