A motorcyclist was killed in an early morning Aurora crash on Monday after a sedan swerved into the bike’s path, police said.

The unidentified man was riding a stolen Harley Davidson westbound down East Jewell Avenue around 12:20 a.m. Monday when an older, beige sedan intentionally side-swiped the motorcycle, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

Police said the sedan caused the motorcyclist to lose control of the bike and crash at the intersection of East Jewell Avenue and South Havana Street.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said. The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

Investigators are searching for the beige sedan, which may have damage to the passenger-side door, police said.

Anyone with information about the crash or the sedan is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
