Denver hits 100 degrees, tying daily high with first triple-digit temps this year

Soaring temperatures across the Front Range brought the and tied the daily record high at Denver International Airport, according to the National Weather Service.

recorded 100 degrees at 3:53 p.m., tying the daily record high for July 9 last set in 2022, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures dipped slightly to 98 degrees by 4:53 p.m., which means the city may fall short of the record-breaking 101 degree forecast.

The weather should cool to the low 90s on Thursday and into the mid-80s with a , forecasters said.
