A man operating a concrete truck allegedly ran over a coworker at a work site in Brighton on Monday, killing him, police said in a release.
Authorities on Tuesday said officers arrived at the scene, 2145 E. Crown Prince Blvd., just before 11 a.m. to find a 29-year-old man performing CPR on an unconscious man, whom police described as a 30-year-old male.
Both men were working at a commercial private property, police said, and the driver of the concrete truck cooperated with officers and showed no signs of impairment. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration told The Denver Post on Tuesday that it has opened an investigation into the incident.
Agency spokesman Juan Rodriguez said OSHA has six months to complete the probe.
The Weld County coroner’s office will release the identity of the victim later. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Brighton Police Department tip line at 303-655-8740.
