Longmont police have exhumed a body from a Greeley cemetery, but have not said what case was being investigated or what led them to the cemetery.
A release from Longmont police simply said that Longmont police responded to Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave. in Greeley, as part of “continuing an investigation.”
“A body was exhumed from a burial site in the northwest part of the cemetery at about 9:20 a.m.,” the release stated. “No further information can be released regarding this investigation.”
Longmont police Cmdr. Joel Post said Tuesday afternoon that the body never left the cemetery and had since been returned to its grave.
