
Snow across central and southern Colorado on Thursday morning shut down roads and caused crashes on both major interstates and state highways but all affected roadways have reopened.

in the area at 8 a.m. showed at least two semitrailers that appeared to have slid off the slick, snow-covered highway. By 10 a.m., traffic was able to slowly pass the crash on the highway’s shoulder, but the area remained closed.

Other road closures included parts on Interstate 25 in southern Colorado, Colorado 86 -- also known as Founders Parkway -- near Castle Rock and northbound Colorado 115 near Penrose.
