The Denver coroner’s office has released the name of a 35-year-old man who was shot and killed early Sunday morning outside a strip club.

Junior Izaguirre Gamez was fatally shot at 1:40 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of South Federal Boulevard.

The manner of Gamez’s聽 death was homicide, according to a news release by Steven Castro, spokesman for the Denver coroner’s office.

Denver police arrested Jared Chavez, 25, for investigation of first-degree murder.

The shooting happened outside聽Dandy Dan鈥檚, a strip club.

Following the shooting Gamez was taken by ambulance to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
